Stalled Out!

Well, guys, I'm completely stalled out, and can't seem to get myself going these days. I finally finished the baby blanket I was knitting for my 6-month old grand-niece and sent it off to Idaho, where winter has slammed in hard. On Thanksgiving it was -2 degrees F with heavy snow conditions! Yikes! So the baby really needs this blanket now!

Other than that, all I've been doing is trying to complete a couple of cross-stitch UFOs at long last. These have been in process for more than 10 years already! Am I slow, or what?? No, it's actually because I have ADD and get bored with one type of needlework, and then do another kind, like moving from knitting to cross-stitch to crocheting, I've not made any new jewelry in ages, and as that is so fulfilling for me I have no idea why I'm not doing any work. It just sucks.

I have been helping my friend with her jewelry business, chaotica. She carries some amazingly beautiful and well-made costume jewelry from around the world and has really great pricing! Lots of bling for the holidays. Check out the website, from which you can order gifts for yourself and for the women in your lives:

I've spent the day so far wandering around the internet, catching up with friends on Ravelry and getting lost in cyberspace. Not really productive, eh? I ought to sign off and get to work -- so much to create! So, bye for now, and enjoy the weekend!

OK! Here we go. I'm just learning how to blog, so please bear with me!

I live in Ladson, South Carolina, having recently moved from San Jose, California. I am a jewelry designer, and work with genuine gemstones, sterling or Hilltribe silver or gold vermeil, real pearls, and Swarovski crystal. My line is called, "Angelica Creates!" and I make custom jewelry for special occasions such as weddings, or just because you love a certain gemstone or combination and would like jewelry that incorporates those elements. If you would like me to make a one-of-a-kind piece for you, please email to me at angelicabeads@yahoo.com.

I also am disabled from fibromyalgia and no longer can work. I use my time to knit, crochet, and read in addition to making jewelry. I sometimes feel a bit useless, but I do knit and crochet for charities as well.

I'll soon be setting up an Etsy site when I've had my digital camera repaired. Should be fun!
